The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and south Interior Karnataka due to a low-pressure system over the southwest Bay of Bengal, expected to last until November 16.

The IMD bulletin also calls for significant rainfall across twenty-three Tamil Nadu districts on Thursday, including Cuddalore, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram, along with Puducherry and Karaikal.

Chennai and eleven other districts are bracing for heavy rainfall through Friday due to a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for multiple districts until November 15.
