Barclay Goodrow is set to return back to Madison Square Garden on Thursday night for the first time since everything went down between him and the New York Rangers. The New York Rangers bought out Goodrow’s contract at the beginning of the offseason as he was almost immediately claimed by the San Jose Sharks.

Barclay Goodrow was the cap casualty for the Rangers this past summer, when the organization had to ruthlessly put the veteran forward on waivers to circumvent his 15-team no-trade list and complete a pre-arranged deal with the Sharks.

I can't really speak to what other teams did with him, but what I've seen, I think he's a guy that could play in that role," Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said. Goodrow is returning to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers tomorrow night.
