Deadpool & Wolverine featured the return of Hugh Jackman as the beloved hero from the X-Men franchise. The Les Misérables star hadn't portrayed the character since Logan, the dramatic story that presented the hero's death.

While interviewing each other for PEOPLE's first-ever collectible side-by-side covers, Jackman opened up about his close friendship with Reynolds, telling him, "Ever since I've known you, and I would say in particular in the last five, 10 years, we've had more time where we go for our walks because you're an unbelievable listener ."

After Ryan Reynolds confirmed he is writing a non-MCU film to star Shawn Levy, Hugh Jackman and Himself, the prospects of Deadpool & Wolverine 2 just became dimmer
