The city of Richmond Hill is pulling together as many resources as possible to monitor flooding from the Ogeechee River in various neighborhoods.

As of Monday evening, the Ogeechee River at Eden is measured at 13.4 ft, the fifth time in 2024 it has been measured above 13 ft., and the National Water Prediction Service forecasts a crest of 14.5 ft by Wednesday evening.

The city of Richmond Hill is warning residents about the potential for flooding as the Ogeechee River is expected to crest 7.5 inches Wednesday. The city said it does not expect residents to experience flooding in their homes but may see a pool of water develop in their yards and is encouraging everyone to move their vehicles away from low-lying areas.
