We did a 2 day tour with 2 diffferent companies, not by choice. We had booked through one company pre-covid for 1.5 days, the half day on the Brazilian side, the full day on the Argentine side. But by the time we were ready to go after Covid, the price had changed so much that we opted to go with someone else for the Argentine side. And that guide, Ana Kluck, was amazing. A guide is not essential but we thought was worthwhile, especially with border crossings and that insider knowledge that makes everything run more smoothly and stress-free.
